The credentials of Seven Is My Number look very good, despite the fact that he only returned to the racecourse last year after a lengthy lay off. His trainer has kept him very busy too; running 10 races in 2009 and has already run once this year. In that time however he has progressed from a competent hurdler, to a quality Novice chaser, who has won six times from seven starts over the bigger obstacles which included winning the Grade 2 Dipper Novice Chase at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day. We think that quality Handicap company might find him out however and would prefer to look elsewhere.

The Paul Nicholls entry, Tatenen is an interesting runner, who could be well in on the weights. One time favourite for the Grade 1 Arkle Challenge Trophy at the Cheltenham Festival, this 6 year old has class, but has struggled for some time now to come to terms with his ability. He was beaten over 8 lengths by Seven Is My Number last time out but had nearly stone extra to carry on the soft ground at Sandown. He comes in to this at level weights this time which should be enough to go close to reversing that form. At 14/1 with Paddy Power Tatenen looks good each way value.

This race is a very open betting affair where it is difficult to select an obvious winner. There are several with genuine claims, but with the betting so close it is clear that not even the Bookmakers are sure of where to go with this.
Theatrical Moment, trained by Jonjo O’Neill looked a good prospect when winning twice in December. The wins came, firstly, in a Beginners Chase, which was followed up with a solid performance in a Novice event. Although only small fields he won both races as he liked and he is one that we will stick our neck on for in this.
