Glorious Goodwood is a meeting that in recent years has become more and more popular with a great week of racing for punters to sink their teeth into, outside of Royal Ascot it really is the highlight of the flat calendar and 2010 carries on that tradition with some great action. As well as all the usual big races, all of the top jockeys are going to be on course making the Top Jockey odds for the week hugely exciting. Having said that it is no surprise to see Ryan Moore the slight favourite with most bookies to claim the most wins, the Champion Jockey is having a fine season and can be backed at 11/8 with Ladbrokes to pick up the prize this week.

Moore may be down in the Jockeys Championship this year but he has turned his attentions to the big races, he has already picked up the Epsom Oaks and Derby this season and he could be in for a couple more big winners this week. Moore is of course the stable Jockey for Sir Michael Stoute so he is guaranteed to have a great book of rides, it will also help if he can pick up one or two spares as he has done with the Rip Van Winkle ride in the Sussex Stakes.
The closest rival to Moore in this market is Richard Hughes who himself is riding for an in-form yard, Richard Hannon is sure to supply Hughes with a few winners this week at Goodwood with his two-year-olds in particular in stunning form. The big ride of the week for Hughes is the Irish Guineas and Royal Ascot winner Canford Cliffs in the Sussex Stakes, he looks like a good thing making the 11/8 about Hughes being the Top Jockey with Ladbrokes.com look like good value.
Of the other contenders all the usual suspects are in the betting with Frankie Dettori as always being backed with punters, he will have his share of rides for Godolphin so will be competitive but may come up short against the likes of Moore and Hughes who look to have a better book at Goodwood. The Italian is available at 10/1 with Ladbrokes to claim the Top Jockey Prize for most winners, it will be a tough task for Dettori but he is at the top of his game so will always give himself a chance of getting to the winning post first. He does have a tough task on his hands though with Ryan Moore and Richard Hughes set to battle it for the five days that is the excellent Glorious Goodwood meeting.
