Dubai Carnival of Racing Betting Expected To Be Very Popular

Racing enters a new era this week in Dubai with the opening of the 2010 Dubai Racing Carnival at the magnificent Meydan Racecourse. The Carnival will run from 28 January until the 5th March, will then culminate on 27th March with the running of $10m Dubai World Cup, the world’s richest horse race.

The new race course comprises of 1750m All Weather (Tapeta) and a 2400m turf course which are the centre pieces of a an iconic spectator area that can accommodate 60,000 and which even has its own trackside five star hotel. There is a host of luxurious suites and restaurants, as well as a marina and looks nothing like any racegoer has ever seen before. The track underwent a very successful trials night last week, when jockey’s such as Johnny Murtagh, Kieran Fallon and Frankie Dettori, took a few horses around the two courses.

A top quality venue can only of course attract top quality horse racing and race fans can expect to see some of the very best horses from all over the world.

Racing takes place each Thursday, although there are several meetings that span over two days and will include the Friday too. Each carnival day will be televised by Attheraces meaning that punters cannot just sample the racing but also take advantage of the many online betting facilities and markets that will be available throughout the 11 week programme.
