Lowther Stakes Odds: Maqaasid Can Confirm Class in Fillies York Feature

The Group Two Lowther Stakes over 6 furlongs, for 2 year old fillies at York on Thursday looks likely to be a real exciting renewal, with several in with chances. Favourite is the unbeaten John Gosden trained Maqaasid, with best price odds of 11/8 available from Bet365 while Michael Bell’s filly, Margot Did is not far behind at 5/2.

Maqaasid has already proven her class of course with a fine victory in the Group Two, Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot back in June. Her trainer seems to think she has come on plenty in the two month since that race and that she should improve significantly. She is certainly our pick for the race. Margot Did also ran at Royal Ascot, finishing second, a ½ length behind the unbeaten, Memory in the Group Three, Albany Stakes. Since then she ran second in Group Three company again this time finishing behind the Mick Channon trained Soraaya.
