Winning Henderson trio short priced in the latest Cheltenham Festival betting

Nicky Henderson enjoyed a winning treble at Cheltenham at the weekend and saw each of his winners move into prominent positions in the Cheltenham Festival betting. Oscar Whisky, Grandouet and Quantitativeeasing all secured impressive wins to give Henderson the perfect 61st birthday present on Saturday.

Oscar Whisky won the Relkeel Hurdle with a strong finish as he powered clear of Get Me Out Of Here, who travelled well, to win by a length and three quarters. Saturday's 4/9 favourite justified strong backing and was quickly installed at an industry best priced 8/1 for the World Hurdle in March by Bet 365. He could take on the intimidating figure of Big Buck's, who has won the three mile race for the past three years.

However, there is also the option of a step back in trip to two miles in the Champion Hurdle, with Bet 365 pricing him 14/1, although stablemate and fellow weekend winner Grandouet looks the more likely for that race at this stage.

Grandouet picked up a stylish win in the International Hurdle as he went up alongside and past Overturn two out, eventually winning by a comfortable five lengths. Bet365.com priced him 6/1 for the Champion Hurdle, although Hurricane Fly remains the one to beat at 2/1.

Quantitativeeasing was the other to win at Cheltenham for Henderson on Saturday as Barry Geraghty produced a brilliant ride to win the December Gold Cup. Tony McCoy had opted not to take the ride aboard the eventual winner, choosing the well backed 7/2 favourite Sunnyhillboy, although he was left to rue that decision as Sunnyhillboy pulled up. Geraghty produced a thrilling finish aboard Quantitativeeasing, who beat Medermit by three quarters of a length. The 6-year-old has been installed as the 8/1 favourite for the Festival Plate and is also the 8/1 favourite for the Festival Handicap Chase.

Elsewhere at Cheltenham, Paul Nicholls won the Ryman Stationer Novices Chase for the third time in four years as Join Together won from 3/1. The 6-year-old jumped brilliantly to join the like of Time For Rupert as a past winner of this race and laid down a marker for the RSA Chase in March. He downed 7/4 favourite Mossley on Saturday and is now a 10/1 chance for the RSA Chase.

Nicholls' Hinterland endured defeat in the JCB Triumph Hurdle Trial though as the 2/7 odds on favourite was a seven length second to Tom George's 14/1 winner Baby Mix. George's French import travelled strongly on his British debut after winning three times on the flat in France and has quickly been installed as favourite for the JCB Triumph Hurdle.

Bet 365 go 7/1 for Baby Mix to win the Triumph at Cheltenham in March, while Hinterland was eased out to 14/1 from 9/1 for the same race.

It was very much Nicky Henderson's weekend at Cheltenham and he is now a 9/4 chance for the National Hunt Trainers Championship, although Nicholls remains the 4/11 favourite.
