There is a fascinating sub-plot developing ahead of the 2010 Grand National with Ruby Walsh set for a tough decision over his ride at Aintree. As always Ruby will have a crucial decision to make between Paul Nicholls and Willie Mullins as he mulls over which of the three horses on offer can give him the best chance of winning the National once again. All three have chances so it will not be easy for Walsh to pick between Tricky Trickster and Big Fella Thanks for Paul Nicholls and Snowy Morning for Willie Mullins as we edge closer to the Aintree showpiece.
Latest 2010 Grand National Outright Odds
It looks as though Rubay Walsh will be looking towards the two Nicholls contenders in Tricky Trickster and Big Fella Thanks for his likely ride with both in cracking form this season. The favourite seems to be Tricky Trickster who shocked everyone when he stormed home to claim the Aon Chase at Newbury recently. That was the race Denman unseated AP McCoy but Walsh rode Tricky Trickster that day and he looked in fine fettle, that was an impressive run and VC Bet cut him to 10/1 to win the Grand National as a result. It appeared that Walsh was a shoe in to ride Tricky Trickster in the National, but that was before Big Fella Thanks burst onto the Grand National scene. He was 6th last season so has experience over the big fences and trip and having won the Greatwood Gold Cup in early March he has also been backed all the way into 10/1 with Victor Chandler. These two are now vying for favouritism for the big race and it is any one's guess as to who will go off as favourite on the big day.

The third horse in contention for the services of Ruby Walsh is Snowy Morning for Willie Mullins who has become somewhat of a Grand National specialist in recent years. He has run and finished for the last two years with a third place in 2008 followed by a 9th last season and he will be well backed to get round again in 2010. He has surprised many with his good form this season and is available at 20/1 with VC Bet.com to claim the National win and has to be good each/way value. There are three good contenders for Ruby Walsh to pick from but we take him to ride Tricky Trickster at Aintree, there is no reason to get off him following the Aon Chase win so expect to see him aboard Tricky Trickster on the 10th April.
