British Flat Jockey Championship Odds Point To Moore

We are now at the start of the long and exciting flat season here in the UK and all the attention is being turned on to which jockey will be the Champion come the end of the season. Ryan Moore has been the Champion Jockey for the past two years but in 2010 he faces his biggest test yet, a battle with Kieren Fallon who has his eyes on the prize. Fallon we all know is a hugely talented jockey who has had his problems in the past but he has made very clear that he is out to reclaim the crown he has won on six previous occasions.

This could be the first time in a few years that Ryan Moore is likely to be seriously challenged but the bookmakers are still suggesting he is the one to beat and is odds-on to make it three Championships in-a-row. Of the other contenders in the betting then Frankie Dettori is definitely worth a look this season as he has made it clear he will be putting in a big effort during 2010. Frankie has not been the champ since 2004 and if he were to win again this year it would be the 4th title in all for the worlds most popular Jockey. Dettori has had a fantastic season over in Dubai and if Godolphin can supply him with a good class of runners then the 12/1 about him becoming champion Jockey with Paddy Powerwill look excellent value. We feel that Frankie will have a good season but it is very difficult to look past Ryan Moore once again and he has to be our pick to be 2010 Champion Jockey.
