Transitions Championship Betting

The Transitions Championship takes place during March each year and follows the World Golf Championships-CA Championship in Florida. It is held at the Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbour, Florida, and is attended by the top players as the PGA Tour season is in full swing.

Retief Goosen is one to look out for in the betting, he is sure to be in and around the top of the leaderboard and could represent decent value odds. He has won the tournament twice before and has won the most prize money at the Transitions Championship, so he could be worth a bet in the place market depending on his ante-post odds as he has proven form at this event.

There is a $5.4 million prize purse on offer here, with the winner taking home $972,000, and the like of Jim Furyk, Sean O'Hair and Mark Calcavecchia have taken that winners' prize money home in the past.

Luke Donald bounced back to form and reclaimed his world number one spot by winning the 2012 Transitions. The Englishman won a four-way play-off at the first extra hole after he, Robert Garrigus, Jim Furyk and Sang-moon Bae finished tied at 13 under par.
