Tavistock Cup Betting

The Tavistock Cup provides a rare opportunity for punters as it is a team event similar to the Ryder Cup. It is a two day tournament, officially recognised as a PGA Tour event, and pits professional members from Lake Nona Golf and Country Club against those from Isleworth Golf and Country Club. In 2011 though it became a four team event as Albany and Queenwood now have teams, ensuring it is a hugely competitive exhibition event.

Its location alternates between the two different clubs and the event is rarely short of top players from the tour, with the likes of Nick Faldo, Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Ian Poulter and Graeme McDowell all taking part in the past. There is a prize purse of $2.45 million on offer in both individual and team prizes, with the winning team receiving $1 million.

It is a rare opportunity in golf betting to have a bet on team and individual players and it is well worth having a look at who is taking part for each team before placing your bet. There are likely to be some top PGA Tour players taking part and the team with the big name players usually emerges victorious, but that is not always the case as Tiger Woods' American Ryder Cup team have proved in the past. Whether the players can adapt to the team environment could be key, and there will be plenty of opportunities for the punter to check out the odds for both individual and team results and in-running betting over two days of excellent golf.

The Arnold Palmer Invitational is a prestigious event as only the top 70 money earners from the previous PGA Tour season take part, which means it is a hugely competitive event with some stellar names in attendance.

Tiger Wood has been a dominant force at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Florida, winning four consecutive times from 2000 to 2003. He is sure to be well backed in the betting this year and he is going to take some beating if he can rediscover his old form.
