Singapore Open Betting

The Singapore Open is an event that was originally sanctioned by the Asian Tour but since 2009 has been sanctioned by the European Tour as well. It has enjoyed great success and has proven immensely popular with players from both tours, which ensures there is always plenty of competition at the head of the ante-post betting.

It takes place each year during November at the Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore and with a prize purse of $6m, there is never a shortage of top names at the tournament. As ever, there are a variety of betting markets on offer throughout the four days, from the outright winner, a top five finish, a top ten finish and of course live in-play betting.

Some stellar names have won the Singapore Open in the past, including Ian Poulter and Angel Cabrera, although the player to look out for in the odds is US Masters runner-up Adam Scott. The Australian is a three-time winner of the tournament, including consecutive wins in 2005 and 2006.

Spaniard Gonzalo Fernando-Castano won on a second play-off hole to defeat Juvic Pagunsan of Phillipines after the pair had finished fourteen under par, one shot clear of the American Anthony Kim. The tournament was limited to just three rounds after lightening wiped out a day's play.
