Every two years the Ryder Cup is staged between The Americans and the Europeans for the Ryder Cup Trophy. The two teams are made up of 12 players who compete against each other over three days of Matchplay. The first two days are played by two man teams, but the third day is all about the 12 Head to Head encounters, that effectively decide who wins and who loses. The American team regained the Ryder Cup in the 2008 by 16½ points to 11½ points which was played at the Valhalla Golf course in Louisville, Kentucky.
