AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am Betting

The Pebble Beach National Pro-Am is held in February each year as part of the PGA Tour and takes place at Pebble Beach, California. It is an unusual event as it is held on three different courses in Pebble Beach, they are the Pebble Beach Golf Links, Monterrey Peninsula Country Club and Spyglass Hill Golf Course.

It makes for an interesting tournament for betting on as each professional player is paired with an amateur player, with 156 pros and 156 amateurs making up the starting field. The odds therefore are varied and there is always plenty of interest in the specials betting markets, and the cut for both the pros and amateurs is after 54 holes.

Those making the cut play on the Pebble Beach Golf Links on the final day. Some great names have won this PGA Tour event, not least Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson, who are all sure to be well up in the betting to win the tournament and likely to be among the favourites.

It is a tournament that has traditionally been dominated by American players, which is worth noting when looking at the odds for both ante-post betting and live in running betting, with only three players from outside the USA having won the tournament since its inauguration in 1937.

Northern Trust Open

It takes place during February each year at the Rivieira Golf Club in San Diego, California, with a $6.4 million prize purse on offer. It has been won by some of the lesser lights in the past to upset the ante-post odds, with names like Rory Sabbatini and Len Mattiace catching the eye.

Some other past winners also will be up there in the betting no doubt, and several of them have plenty of experience of winning on the PGA Tour as Steve Stricker and Phil Mickelson have shown. They will be heading the betting for favouritism to win again and there is sure to be plenty of value around in the ante-post betting.
