The McGladrey Classic Betting

The McGladrey Classic is a relatively new addition to the PGA Tour as it first took place in 2010. The likes of Zach Johnson and Davis Love III were in attendance to give the tournament a boost and they were both short priced in the ante-post odds.

However, it was Heath Slocum who provided ante-post backers with some cheer as he took victory from healthy odds after he beat Bill Haas by a shot.

The tournament is part of the PGA Tour's Fall Series and takes place each year during October, with a prize purse of $4m on offer. It is an event that is tough to decipher too much in terms of past performances as few top class tournaments have been held at its Seaside Golf Club in Georgia venue in the past, but you can expect some big names to be in attendance to provide plenty of interest in the odds.

McGladrey Classic 2011 Result

Ben Crane beat Webb Simpson in a sudden-death play-off to claim the 2011 McGladrey Classic title. Crane notched eight birdies in his final round 63 to ensure he shared the lead and he got the better of Simpson, who moved to the top of the PGA Tour money list ahead of next week's final event of the season.

1. Ben Crane (USA) - 265 (-15) - Won play-off
2. Webb Simpson (USA) - 265 (-15)
3. Michael Thompson (USA) - 266 (-14)
