Maybank Malaysian Open Betting

Following the excitement and drama of the first major of the season, the US Masters at Augusta, players, punters and bookmakers alike turn their attention back to the Race To Dubai. The Maybank Malaysian Open is the next event on the European Tour calendar in April as the players head to the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club in Malaysia.

From a betting perspective, it is likely to be a wide open event with plenty of value to be found in the odds as the top players in the world take a break from the tour following the exhausting nature of Augusta. Previous winners have included the likes of Vijay Singh and Lee Westwood but more recent winners have tended to include lesser lights, such as Noh Seung-Yul, Anthony Kang and Arjun Atwal, and that they are names worth bearing in mind when considering your ante-post bet.

The $2 million event has been held at the Kualur Lumpur course since 2010 and has been part of the European Tour since 1999 as it continues to spread into Asia.

Louis Oosthuizen bounced back from losing the US Masters on a play-off to win the Malaysian Open by three shots. The South African edged out Stephen Gallacher as he finished 17 under par.
