Iskandar Johor Open Betting

The European Tour remains in Asia during November as the players head to Malaysia for the Iskandar Johor Open at the Royal Johor Country Club in Johor Bahru. With the Dubai World Championship edging ever closer, betting on golf will no doubt hot up and punters will be keen to see who is in form ahead of the season's climax.

It was the richest event on the Asian Tour in 2010 when it boasted a prize purse of $1.25m, but it was added to the European Tour schedule in 2011 and is co-sanctioned by the two tours.

It was first held in 2007 and there was an upset in betting terms as Artemio Murakami of the Philippines defied the odds to take the title, although the usual suspects have been victorious in recent years. Two-time US Open champion Retief Goosen took victory in 2008, with Open Championship and PGA Championship winner Padraig Harrington taking the title in 2010.

Iskandar Johor Open 2011 Result

Dutchman Joost Luiten finally claimed his first European Tour title as he won the Johor Open by a shot from Daniel Chopra. Luiten, who hit a final round 66, also had to hold off a strong challenge from defending champion Padraig Harrington, who tied for third.
