Johnnie Walker Championship Betting

The Johnnie Walker Championship, not to be confused with the 'Johnnie Walker Classic' takes place each year in August, after the fourth and final major of the year - the USPGA Championship.

It takes place at Gleneagles in Scotland and is of course one of the few events on the European Tour to be played in Scotland and is a rare opportunity for betting on golf in the country. Other tournaments include the Open Championship on a rotational basis, the Scottish Open and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

The tournament has enjoyed several modifications over the years as it was first held as the Scottish PGA Championship and it is now held on the PGA Centenary Course, formerly known as the Monarch's course, which is the venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup.

When considering the odds and ante-post betting it is worth noting that no one player has dominated the tournament, although players like Paul Casey, who has won the event twice, could offer great value at longer odds. Adam Scott is another notable winner, as are Edoardo Molinari and Gregory Havret.
