The Greenbrier Classic Betting

The Greenbrier Classic is a relatively new addition to the PGA Tour calendar as it took place for the first time in 2010 and it proved to be a very popular betting event with punters.

It has replaced the Buick Open on the tour and is scheduled to take place towards the end of July. It surely has a big part to play on the tour as it offers players a great chance to find form for the big tournaments still to come, and it should give those looking to place a bet a great chance to see who is playing well and who could offer value in the odds.

It takes place at the The Old White Course at the Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. And it was the Australian Stuart Appleby who took the trophy in its inaugural season in 2010 and he struck a stunning round of 59 on the fourth day.

There is sure to be a strong field again this year, thanks to a prize purse of $6 million, and there is sure to be plenty of competition and value to be found in the ante-post betting.

The Greenbrier Classic 2011 Result

American Scott Stallings claimed the first title of his career as he held his nerve to beat Bill Haas and Bob Estes in a play-off. The three were level on ten under par and Stallings birdeyed the first play-off hole, while Haas and Estes could only manage par.

USPGA Championship

The USPGA is the next major in the tour calendar and it always attracts a strong field, with American players enjoying great success at the different venues over the years - particularly Tiger Woods, who has won the event four times in the past and he will be keen to prove he still has what it takes to win after a difficult few years.

Players from overseas have taken advantage of Woods' recent difficulties as the European pair Martin Kaymer and Padraig Harrington have taken the title, with South Korean YE Yang also emerging victorious from longer odds.
