Frys.com Open Betting

The Frys.com Open is the second event played on the PGA Tour's Fall series which begins two weeks after the Tour Championship in October. The event is still in it's infancy and 2011 will be just the fourth tournament as the Frys.com Open, with the event previously named the Fry's Electronics Open.

The first event was played at Grayhawk Gold Club's Raptor Course but is now played at the CordeValle Golf Club in San Martin, California. The prize fund is $5m and coming so late in the season, the event is seen by many of the lesser players as one of their final chances to get the required prize money and ranking points to keep their card for the following year on the PGA Tour.

The event is played not long after the FedEx Cup final and the general standard of the field is not as strong as earlier in the season, with many of the top players taking a well earned rest at this time of year. The likes of Mike Weir and Rocco Mediate are recent winners, but Tiger Woods will line up in 2011 after he promised Presidents Cup team captain Fred Couples that he would play for being selected in the team event played later in the year.
