Formerly the San Diego Open, the Farmers Insurance Open follows hot on the heels of the Bob Hope Classic in the PGA Tour calendar. It takes place in late January each year and it provides a great opportunity for betting as some top players from the tour head to San Diego, California.
It takes place at the Torrey Pines golf club's North and South courses, with the first 36 holes split between the two courses and the final 36 are played on the South Course. One man who is familiar with the format of the tournament and has enjoyed great success here is Tiger Woods as he has won it seven times, including four years in succession from 2005 to 2008. It is well worth keeping an eye on Woods' odds each year as he has a formidable record here and is likely to be well up in the betting.
