Omega European Masters Betting

With money and points increasingly important for the players as the Race To Dubai hots up, the European Masters will attract some top quality players and it always provides an exciting betting spectacle.

It is held each year in September at the Golf Club Crans-sur-Sierre at Crans Montana in Valais, Switzerland. It is obviously part of the European Tour, although in 2009 it became the first European golf event to be co-sanctioned by the Asian tour.

In another first, the tournament was the venue for Michelle Wie's first crack at a men's event on the European Tour, although it ended in disappointment as she shot opening rounds of 78 and 79 to finish 15 over par and missed the cut.

It could make for an interesting betting event if a female player is incorporated again but even without Wie there is plenty of interest as the likes of Robert Karlsson, Luke Donald and Sergio Garcia have won the Swiss event in the past and are likely to be available at short odds in the ante-post betting.

Race To Dubai Betting

The Race To Dubai replaced the European Tour's Order of Merit and it is effectively a competition for those who have won most money on the tour during the season. The Race To Dubai ends with the Dubai World Championship in December and it always attracts plenty of betting interest.
