Czech Open Betting

The Czech Open has been reincarnated in recent years and has proved to be a hugely popular betting event in the world of golf. It has been added to the calendar to follow the USPGA Championship and it can often be a big tournament for the European players as they look to pick up more ranking points for the Race To Dubai.

It was removed from the European Tour calendar back in 1998 but made a successful return in 2008 when Clemens Prader won from long odds. Oskar Henningsson caused an upset in the betting during the following year, but Peter Hansen proved that it wasn't just an event for the lesser knowns on the tour when he claimed victory when well backed.

It takes place at the Prosper Golf Resort in Celadna and can boast a prize fund of 2.5 million (euros) so there should be plenty of big names to look out for in the ante-post betting.

Czech Open 2011 Result

Englishman Oliver Fisher won the 2011 Czech Open as he carded a final round 69 to take victory and his first ever European Tour title. Fisher finished two shots clear of Sweden's Mikael Lundberg, with Fabrizio Zanotti two shots further back.

USPGA Championship

The USPGA is the fourth major in the tour calendar and it always attracts a strong field, with Tiger Woods enjoying huge success over the years as he has won the event four times in the past.

Players from overseas have taken advantage of Woods' recent difficulties as the European pair Martin Kaymer and Padraig Harrington have taken the title, with South Korean YE Yang also emerging victorious from longer odds.
