The Canadian Open moves from venue to venue each year and in 2011 it was held at the Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club in Ontario, although in 2012 it will be held at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club.
It takes place each year after the British Open during July in the PGA Tour calendar and it has proven to be a popular betting event. Tiger Woods won the title from short odds favouritism in 2000 and in the process claimed a famous 'triple crown' as he had already won the US Open and the Open Championship.
As you would expect, players from the USA have enjoyed great success over the years and tend to dominate the ante-post betting, whilst no Canadian player has won the title since 1954.
In recent years though plenty of players have upset the odds to win the title, not least Nathan Green in 2009 and Carl Pettersson in 2010.

The USPGA is the next major in the tour calendar and it always attracts a strong field, with American players enjoying great success at the different venues over the years - particularly Tiger Woods, who has won the event four times in the past and he will be keen to prove he still has what it takes to win after a difficult few years.
Players from overseas have taken advantage of Woods' recent difficulties as the European pair Martin Kaymer and Padraig Harrington have taken the title, with South Korean YE Yang also emerging victorious from longer odds.
