Home / Golf / Arnold Palmer Invitational
The Arnold Palmer Invitational is a restricted event on the PGA Tour as only the top 70 players from the previous season's money list are allowed to take part. It takes place during March each year at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Florida. With a prize purse of $6 million and a winners fee of $1.08 million there is plenty to play for.
The resort itself is owned by Arnold Palmer and it is a course that legend and 2008 US Open winner Tiger Woods enjoys. He has had great success here and he is sure to head ante-post favouritism in the betting, he won the event for four consecutive years from 2000 to 2003, and that feat has only ever been achieved on the whole PGA Tour four times in history.
Other players who have enjoyed success here include Ernie Els and Vijay Singh so it pays to take a look at those players with experience of winning a major in the past when considering the odds and placing your bet. It is a tough competition with only the top 70 money earners from the previous year in attendance and betting is sure to be equally competitive, and it would appear that Tiger Woods is the man to beat.
