Andalucia Masters Betting

The European Tour remains in Spain, following the recent Madrid Masters and Castello Masters, with the Andalucia Masters at the Valderrama Golf Club in Andalucia. It means there is likely to be a prime opportunity for betting as you can who is in form and whose odds to avoid during this 'Spanish leg' of the tour.

Formerly known as the Volvo Masters Andalucia, this event used to be the final event in the European Tour calendar but has since been replaced by the Dubai World Championship following the inauguration of the Race To Dubai in 2009.

It still remains an attractive tournament for players and punters alike as it is one of the richest events on the European Tour, with a prize purse of €3m.

It ensures the top players from around the globe attend and there have been some stellar names winning the title in recent years, with Padraig Harrington, Colin Montgomerie, Justin Rose and Lee Westwood former champions.

Meanwhile, it could pay dividents to take a look at Spanish home-grown talent in the odds, particularly as Miguel Angel Jimenez currently holds the course record at Valderrama after his victory here in 1999.

Sergio Garcia made it back to back wins on the European Tour as he followed up his Castello Masters in last week with a one shot victory in the Andalucia Masters. Garcia held off the challenge of Spanish compatriot Miguel Angel Jimenez, with Scotland's Richie Ramsay third.
