Matsuyama Marked Out As A Top Tip For The Memorial Tournament
Fresh from successfully backing Kevin Kisner to win the Dean and DeLuca Invitational at 33/1 last week, we've got four tips for what promises to be a cracking renewal of The Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Ohio...

|The Memorial Tournament|
|Tips||Hideki Matsuyama (each way) Best Bet||@ 20 / 1|
|Matt Kuchar (each way)||@ 33 / 1||P|
|Tony Finau (each way)||@ 50 / 1|
|Steve Stricker (each way)||@ 80 / 1|
The Head Of The Market
Dustin Johnson heads into the tournament as a 6/1 favourite after finishing solo third in this event in 2016, which was his fourth top-20 in six visits to Muirfield.
Johnson will take some beating but his price is plenty short enough, as is 12/1 shot Jon Rahm, who makes his course debut. Jordan Spieth is also available at 12/1 but he must get over the disappointment of narrowly missing out at Colonial on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Jason Day makes his first appearance since losing a play-off at the Byron Nelson but he is yet to make the top-25 in eight visits to Muirfield.
It is Hideki Matsuyama who tops our shortlist for the week though as he makes his first start since a top-25 effort at The Players. The Japanese star ranks 7th for greens in regulation and 3rd for Par-4 performance on the PGA Tour this season, which are both likely to be key statistics in this week's event, while Matsuyama also has a fine record at Muirfield.
A missed cut from 2016 aside, Matsuyama won this event in 2014 before tying for 5th in 2015 and he should be suitably rested for a big showing this time around.
Tip #1: Hideki Matsuyama (each way) @ 20/1 with Betfred.
Matt Kuchar is another with an excellent record at this course as he has never missed a cut in nine visits, including victory in 2013 and seven other top-fifteen finishes. Three of those results involved a top-five finish and he has a close affinity with this track as he won three points when the Presidents Cup was held there in 2013.
A return of eight top-25s for 2017 ensures that Kuchar is nicely positioned for another strong performance in Ohio.
Tip #2: Matt Kuchar (each way) @ 33/1 with Betfred.com.
The Longer Shots
Tony Finau could well be a player to continue the trend of big-priced Memorial winners as he bids to build on finishes of 8th and 11th in his past two visits. Finau has already secured four top-tens during a fine campaign that sees him rank 4th for par-4 performance and 5th for GIR.
Tip #3: Tony Finau (each way) @ 50/1 with Bet 365.
Finally, Steve Stricker has made five cuts in six appearances this year and he signed off the Dean and DeLuca Invitational with a brilliant 63 to take a share of 7th place on Sunday. Stricker, who is currently ranked 85th in the world, needs to break into the top-60 of the world rankings to qualify for The US Open and can enhance his prospects with a strong showing this week.
Stricker has previous at Muirfield as he won The Memorial in 2011 before tying for 6th in 2014, while he won three points at the 2013 Presidents Cup.
Tip #4: Steve Stricker (each way) @ 80/1 with Bet 365.
