Jim Furyk heads the cast for this week’s USPGA tour event, the Greenbrier Classic which will be played on the beautiful if not potentially low scoring Old White Course in West Virginia. Furyk has been made the Bookmakers choice with VC Bet offering 16/1 about the world number five grabbing his third win of the year.
Furyk in fact comes to the tournament in reasonable form and although he missed the cut at St Andrews in the recent Open Championship, he has hit two top finishes since winning the Verizon Heritage in May and looks to be a worthy favourite in a field short of top twenty players.

The local media are predicting a low scoring affair on the par 70 course which has easily hit fairways and benign approaches to the greens. Another player not to underestimate when it comes to low scoring is South Korean, Charlie Wi, who is superb form at the moment, with two tied 4th place finishes, a tie for 15th in the John Deere and a tie for 21st in the Travelers Championship. Wi is hot to trot at the moment and would be another we would back on each way basis with odds of 40/1.
