Wyndham Golf Championship Odds: Punters Coming for Ryan Moore say Bookmakers

Defending Wyndham Golf champion, Ryan Moore has been installed as the 22/1 second favourite with Bet365 ahead of this week’s tournament in North Carolina and already Bookmakers are reporting plenty of money for him. The 27 year old will be hoping for a big performance in order to enhance his chances of a ‘Captain’s Pick’ for the forthcoming Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor in Wales in a few weeks time as well as for the obvious points he needs to keep him in the top 50 golfers in the world, where he is currently ranked 44th.

Favourite at 18/1 however is the Swede, Carl Pettersson, whose recent form belies his position of 105 in the world rankings. Pettersson won the Canadian Open a few weeks ago, after finishing in 6th place in the AT&T Invitational. He also played extremely well last week at Whistling Straits where he finished in a tie for 24th place. The other major reason to like him for this tournament however is that he plays very well on this course having won here in 2008.

One man who will be hoping to get his game back on track will be 2009 US Open champion, Lucas Glover, whose form has slumped badly in 2010. Until recently he was in with an automatic selection place for the Ryder Cup team, but has now slipped down to tenth and will have to rely on a ‘Captains Pick’ if he is to make the team for the first time this year.
