The Best Bet For The BMW Championship Is As Clear As Day
The penultimate event of the FedEx Cup play-offs takes centre stage from Thursday as the top-seventy player in the rankings head to Conway Farms Golf Club in Illinois for what promises to be a cracking edition of the BMW Championship...

All To Play For
Only the top-thirty players in the FedEx Cup rankings will go on to play in the season-ending Tour Championship at East Lake and the current leader, Jordan Spieth, can already look forward to the big finale.
Spieth has been in sensational form of late and he is the 13/2 favourite at Conway Farms, where The Open champion finished 16th and 13th when this tournament was previously held at the venue in 2013 and 2015 respectively.
Dustin Johnson (8/1) is the defending champion of the BMW Championship following his success at Crooked Stick twelve months ago, while the in-form Justin Thomas (11/1) is bidding to add to his return of two wins and a top-six finish from his past three starts.
Rickie Fowler tied 4th at Conway Farms in 2015 and is available at 14/1, while Jon Rahm and Hideki Matsuyama are available at 16/1.
Clear As Day
However, our best bet for the week is going to be Jason Day as this is a player who has thrived at Conway Farms in the past, finishing tied 4th there in 2013 before winning the title thanks in large part to a stunning opening round of 61 in 2015. The Australian has been quietly going about his business of late, picking up four successive top-25 finishes, including two top-tens, and how he would love to sign off what has been a testing year for him personally with a couple of big performances.
Day is currently 28th in the FedEx Cup rankings but he can make sure of his place in the top-thirty and a place at East Lake next week with a big showing in Illinois.
Tip #1: Jason Day (each way) @ 18/1 with Betfred - 1/4 odds on 5 places.
Un-Leish The Beast
Marc Leishman arrives at this tournament in great touch as he has been hitting the ball beautifully for several months now, while his iron play has been exceptional. Leishman tied 3rd at the Dell Technologies last time out, meaning he has finished in the top-six in three of his past six outings worldwide, and the Arnold Palmer Invitational winner makes great appeal on a course that should suit.
Tip #2: Marc Leishman (each way) @ 45/1 with Paddy Power - 1/5 odds on six places.
Finally, Zach Johnson is another player with course form at Conway Farms as he was the winner in 2013 prior to a tie for 13th in 2015. The former Open champion was runner-up at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational only four events go and he recovered from a disappointing opening round last time out.
Johnson currently ranks 54th on the FedEx Cup points list but don't be surprised if he propels himself higher with another strong showing at a venue that clearly suits his game.
Tip #3: Zach Johnson (each way) @ 80/1 with William Hill - 1/5 odds on six places.
