Richie Can Strike It Rich With Victory At The European Masters
The Race To Dubai continues apace as a decent field lines up for the 71st edition of the European Masters at the picturesque Crans-sur-Sierre in Switzerland on Thursday and we can look forward to four days of live action played out to the backdrop of The Alps on Sky Sports...

The Market Leaders
Alexander Noren is a 10/1 favourite (Ladbrokes) as the world number eleven is a two-time champion in this event and he will bid to defend the title he won in a play-off against Scott Hend twelve months ago.
The Race To Dubai leader, Tommy Fleetwood, is next best at 12/1 as he bids to add to a couple of top-tens he has achieved in this event previously, while Bernd Wiesberger (25/1) makes his first start since missing the cut at the US PGA and Lee Westwood is gearing up for his 500th start on the European Tour.
We prefer to seek a bit of each-way value in this field and Richie Ramsay looks like very decent value at 35/1. The Scot has finished no worse than 35th in his past four starts, including a tie for 2nd at the Irish Open and a tie for 8th at the European Open, and the 34-year-old will relish a return to Crans-sur-Sierre, where he won the European Masters in 2012 before securing a couple of top-ten finishes since.
This Swiss course rewards a strong short game and finding greens in regulation - a stat for which Ramsay ranks 24th on the European Tour this year.
Tip #1: Richie Ramsay (each way) @ 35/1 with Betfred.
Jamie Donaldson has a similarly consistent record at this Swiss venue as he has finished in the top-25 in five of his past six visits and his recent form is very encouraging. The Welshman played well at the Paul Lawrie Match Play before securing yet another top-25 at the Czech Masters on Sunday and we are going to back him to go well here.
Tip #2: Jamie Donaldson (each way) @ 55/1 with Betfred.com.
Meanwhile, Michael Lorenzo-Vera is a player who has gone under the radar during a fine 2017 campaign that has seen him secure six top-20 finishes, including a tie for 3rd at the Open de France and a tie for 9th at the Czech Masters recently.
Lorenzo-Vera boasts an excellent short game and he can build on a decent record at the European Masters, where he has finished in the top-20 in all three of his appearances, including a tie for 12th in 2016.
Tip #3: Michael Lorenzo-Vera to finish in the top-20 @ 10/3 with Betfair.
Tip #4: Michael Lorenzo-Vera (each way) @ 80/1 with Bet 365.
Course form has proven to be quite important in this event in the past and that augurs well for two-time winner Thomas Bjorn, who took the titles in 2011 and 2013. The 46-year-old may be getting on in years but he has won fifteen tournaments on the European Tour and his recent form has been solid enough to suggest he is in good shape for a return to a venue that clearly suits his game.
Tip #5: Thomas Bjorn (each way) @ 175/1 with Bet 365.
