Colin Montgomerie's Europe side require just five more points to regain the Ryder Cup after some sensational golf on Sunday from the home side. Trailing six points to four as play got underway on Sunday afternoon the Europeans managed to win all but one of their matches on the course, including a record Ryder Cup defeat for Tiger Woods, paired with Steve Stricker losing 6&5 to Lee Westwood and Luke Donald. Even the Italian duo of the Edoardo and Francesco Molinari snatched half a point in the remaining match on Sunday evening when defeat looked likely coming down the eighteenth. Europe are now as short as 1/6 to win the Ryder Cup with bookmaker Ladbrokes, with the US having odds of 6/1 to retain the Harry Vardon Trophy and the tie a 12/1 shot.

The twelve singles matches were announced on Sunday night, with some tasty looking ties to get stuck into as the Ryder Cup rolls over onto a Monday for the first time in its history. The most eyecatching of matches is the first match out where Steve Stricker faces Lee Westwood, whilst US Open Champion Graeme McDowell goes out last and plays Hunter Mahan. Check out the odds for each of the singles matches in the reviews below.
Lee Westwood v Steve Stricker
Englishman Lee Westwood has been given the responsibility of getting the first points on the board for Europe as he takes on Steve Stricker in the opening match of the singles teeing off at 9.05am. Westwood has been imperious in South Wales this week and was part of the team who beat Stricker and Tiger Woods 6&5 in Sunday's Foursomes. Ladbrokes make Westwood an odds on chance to win the opening match against Stricker.
5/6 Westwood
6/1 Tie
6/4 Stricker
Rory McIlroy v Stewart Cink
Rookie Rory McIlroy has been handed the resposibility of getting an early point on the board against one of the American stalwarts Stewart Cink. McIlroy has had a pretty successful week teaming up with friend Graeme McDowell but in Cink he faces probably the most in form of the US players and with the experience of an Open Championship under his belt the American could make a mockery of the odds.
10/11 McIlroy
6/1 Tie
11/8 Cink
Luke Donald v Jim Furyk
Two steady eddie's go head to head in match three, as the unflappable Luke Donald takes on last week's Tour Championship winner Jim Furyk. Donald hasn't had to wait long to get revenge on Furyk as the American edged things in Atlanta a week ago and the bookmaker make the Englishman odds on to get the point.
Evs Donald
6/1 Tie
6/5 Furyk
Martin Kaymer v Dustin Johnson
Iceman Martin Kaymer can renew his rivalry with Dustin Johnson in the last match out on the course. The German is unbeaten in his first Ryder Cup whilst Johnson hasn't even come close to scoring a point on his debut. The American hasn't been playing that bad, but is struggling on the slow greens in South Wales. Kaymer had a quiet day partnering Ian Poulter to victory on Sunday and looks a decent bet to come back firing on Monday morning and bring home the bacon for Europe.
10/11 Kaymer
5/1 Tie
6/4 Johnson
Ian Poulter v Matt Kuchar
Englishman Ian Poulter is the evens favourite for this match against Matt Kuchar with Ladbrokes. Poulter bounced back from an opening defeat in the fourballs to win his second two matches and is the kind of player who rises to the occassion, winning his singles match at Valhalla two years ago. Matt Kuchar is unbeaten at Celtic Manor but you wonder if he can keep that up withoiut his partner Stewart Cink in Monday's singles.
Evs Poulter
5/1 Tie
11/8 Kuchar
Ross Fisher v Jeff Overton
This match could be a lot closer than the odds suggest, as both players are bang in form, with Overton being one of the shining lights on debut for the American team. Fisher came to life winning his second and third match over the weekend and virtually carried Padraig Harrington to victory on Sunday. The PGA Matchplay Champion is the odds on favourite in this one.
4/5 Fisher
5/1 Tie
7/4 Overton
Miguel Angel Jimenez v Bubba Watson
The enigmatic Spaniard Miguel Angel Jimenez took the scalp of Monday's opponent Bubba Watson on Sunday in the fourballs and will be looking to follow up in Monday's singles. Ladbrokes makes Jimenez the slight favourite but it will be a close game from two people that play golf in different ways. Jimenez's experience could just edge this but Watson is no shrinking violet and will be looking to draw upon some of the form that saw him finish runner-up in this year's PGA Championship.
5/4 Jimenez
4/1 Tie
5/4 Watson
Francesco Molinari v Tiger Woods
The younger of the Molinari brothers Francesco faces a tough task against world number one Tiger Woods. Captain Colin Montgomerie will be hoping the match is all over by the time it reaches Molinari and the Italian's putting will need to improve tenfold if he is to get anything from Woods. Tiger comes off the back of a demoralising 6&5 defeat teamed up with Steve Stricker on Sunday but it would be a big surprise if Molinari was to get anything from this match.
9/4 Molinari
9/2 Tie
4/6 Woods
Edoardo Molinari v Ricky Fowler
The older of the two Molinari brothers takes on Rookie Ricky Fowler in this entertaining looking match. The bookmakers can't split the two in the betting and you get the feeling Molinari will need to just up his game a fraction to secure a point for Europe here. Fowler has played well in his Ryder Cup debut, losing nothing in defeat on Sunday playing with an under-par Phil Mickelson.
5/4 Molinari
4/1 Tie
5/4 Fowler
Peter Hanson v Phil Mickelson
Phil Mickelson is the odds on favourite to beat Peter Hanson, but the Swede looks a decent bet at the price. Mickeslon has lost all three of his matches at the 2010 Ryder Cup and has looked out of sorts all summer. Hanson on the other hand has won twice on the Race to Dubai this season, including a win at the Czech Open that played his way onto the team. Hanson got a morale boosting win on Sunday paired with Miguel Angel Jimenez and has the course experieince to upset the odds here.
15/8 Hanson
4/1 Tie
5/6 Mickelson
Padraig Harrington v Zach Johnson
Padraig Harrington goes out in the penultimate group in this year's Ryder Cup as underdog against Zach Johnson. The American is the favourite with Ladbrokes but Harrington has shown the odd glimpse of form over the past three days to suggest he won't be a pushover. Zach Johnson has points on the board this weekend but lost out to the Northern Irish duo of McIlroy and McDowell on Sunday.
13/8 Harrington
3/1 Tie
6/5 Johnson
Graeme McDowell v Hunter Mahan
Graeme McDowell could be the man to bring the Ryder Cup home for Europe as he is sent out in the last group with Hunter Mahan. The American didn't lose a game at Valhalla two years ago but things haven't gone so well for him this time around at Celtic Manor. US Open champion McDowell should have the nerve to win the Ryder Cup if required, although the bookmakers can't split the two.
11/8 McDowell
3/1 Tie
11/8 Mahan
1/6 Europe
6/1 USA
12/1 Tie
