Maybank Malaysian Open Golf Betting Strongly Supports Jaidee

Third in the Dubai Desert Classic and a very creditable tied fifth in the WGC Matchplay, number one Thailand golfer, Thongchai Jaidee is a worthy favourite ahead of this Malaysian Open at the Kuala Lumpur Golf Club this week. A 12 time winner on the Asian Tour, including two wins of this event, Jaidee is clearly very easy to back, but is now as short as 9/1 to win with Paddy Power

Defending champion is American, Anthony Kang, who won this event with long odds against in 2009 and has yet to earn himself a top ten finish since. He nonetheless takes on the event again and is a 150/1 outsider for back to back wins. Kang in fact finished one shot ahead of four others last year which included England’s David Horsey who comes into the tournament in useful form having achieved three top 20 finishes already on tour this year. Horsey looks a good each way option with odds of around 33/1.

KJ Choi is an interesting entry, having seen his world ranking slip from the world’s top ten two years ago, Choi has been in freefall since and is now down in the unenviable position of 96. That said, although he has not been winning tournaments, he has been making cuts this year and was a very creditable 15th in the Farmers Open a few weeks ago on the PGA tour. On ability alone, he is one of the best in this field and with odds of 15/1 he should not be ignored.
