Impotent Everton To Be Frustrated By Sean Dyche's Burnley

The second of Super Sunday's three televised Premier League games comes from Goodison Park as Everton take on Burnley and the visitors are more than capable of making life very difficult for their hosts on Merseyside...

  • Everton have won four of their past five meetings with Burnley - Lost One
  • Five of Burnley's six league matches have gone under 2.5 goals

Koeman Under Pressure?

Ronald Koeman is already coming in for criticism as expectations at Goodison Park have risen since the club splashed the cash in the summer and how he could do with a win on Sunday following a stuttering start to the season.

The Toffees are 4/6 favourites (Bet 365) after winning four of the last five Everton v Burnley fixtures (lost one) but that price makes little appeal when you consider how the club have struggled to replace the goals of Romelu Lukaku since his departure to Manchester United

Everton have managed a grand total of four goals this season and such a return would suggest that they are not going to blow Burnley away, particularly as Sean Dyche's side have already taken five points from trips to Chelsea (won 3-2), Tottenham (drew 1-1) and Liverpool (drew 1-1) this term.
Match Odds:

Low Scoring

Considering Burnley only managed to collect eight points on the road during the whole of the 2016/17 campaign, the Clarets have done remarkably during a decent start to the season that has seen them only lose one of their six league outings (won two, drawn three).

Five of Burnley's six fixtures have produced two goals or less and under 2.5 goals looks like a solid bet (3/4 with Bet Victor) for this clash with a goal-shy Everton side.

Burnley are always hard to beat and the Clarets are 13/10 to cover +1 goal in the handicap market, which is a bet that our tipster Steve Claridge is backing this weekend.

There won't be much between the teams and Sam Vokes could be the man to look out for in the goalscorer markets as he notched in both of his appearances against Everton last season, with Betfred going 10/1 for Vokes to score first as he bids to get on the scoresheet for the first time since his brace at Chelsea on the opening day of the season.
