Having destroyed Algeria in the semi final, defending champions, Egypt will now take on Ghana in the final of the Africa Nations Cup in Angola hoping to keep their 100% record in the tournament intact. Should they win of course, they will become the first team in the tournament’s history to win the trophy three times running which will make them undisputedly the best side on the African continent. It will also be their sixth victory in the tournament.

Ghana have made hard work of it to qualify for the final, but they appear to be getting stronger with each match played. They started off their group phase with a 1-3 defeat at the hands of Ivory Coast, but they still managed to qualify, courtesy of a 1-0 win over Burkina Faso. In the quarter finals they beat the hosts, Angola, also by 1-0 which was the same scoreline again in the semi final, where much to the surprise of most they dumped Nigeria from the tournament. Despite the result against Ivory Coast, the Ghanaians have proven that they have one of the best defences around and if Egypt are to win, they can be assured that they will have to be at their best to do so.
