West Brom Tipped To Make Life Difficult For Liverpool At Anfield

There is live FA Cup fourth round action on BT Sport on Saturday night as Liverpool come up against West Bromwich Albion and we fancy Jurgen Klopp's men might be made to labour at Anfield this weekend...

  • West Brom have covered +2 goals in each of their past eight matches with Liverpool
  • Four of the past six meetings between Liverpool and West Brom have ended in draws
  • Jurgen Klopp has yet to go beyond the fourth round of the FA Cup with Liverpool

Head-To-Head

The Reds may be unbeaten in nine Liverpool v West Brom fixtures since 2013, winning four and drawing five, but we fancy the struggling Baggies are decent value to at least make life difficult for their hosts on Merseyside.

Alan Pardew's side are 10/1 underdogs for victory (Unibet) and they are 19/4 to draw, although it is the handicap market which interests us.

The visitors are even-money to cover a +2 goal advantage (Betfair) and it is a bet that has paid out in each of the last eight meetings between these teams.

FA Cup Pedigree

West Brom may be languishing towards the foot of the Premier League table but they rarely get blown away by their opponents, with nine of their past 11 away games going under 2.5 goals

They come up against a Liverpool side that saw their four-match winning run come to a juddering halt with a 1-0 loss at Swansea on Monday night and it will be interesting to see Klopp's starting line-up for Saturday.

Klopp hasn't shown a great deal of interest in the FA Cup since arriving in England as he has never been beyond the fourth round - Liverpool were taken to a replay by Exeter in the third round in 2016 before getting knocked out by West Ham in the fourth round, while they needed a replay to get past Plymouth last year before they were then knocked out by Wolves.
