Bolton will be disappointed that they couldn’t build on their 5-0 thrashing of Stoke when they faced West Brom last weekend. The Trotters had beaten Tony Pulis’ side convincingly before the international break and there was renewed hope at the Reebok Stadium that Bolton could maybe kick start their season.
However, defeat was on the cards for Owen Coyle and his team yet again at the Hawthorns last Saturday when they lost out 2-1 to West Brom. It was a ninth loss in the season for Bolton which gives them the most defeats of the entire Premier League.
Although they picked up no points, there was encouraging signs for Owen Coyle from his team. Bolton put in a spirited performance at the Hawthorns and showed some real fight like they had previously in the Stoke game. If they can continue to do it they have a chance at staying up.
They welcome Everton to the Reebok on Saturday but the bookmakers are still not too convinced they can get the win. Bolton are 19/10 with Unibet in the match odds while Everton while are 32/17 and a draw offered at 23/10.
Everton had been going through their own bad patch recently with four losses in five games, although they managed to get a 2-1 victory over Wolves last weekend to push them up the table into 12th.
Two defenders, Leighton Baines and Phil Jagielka, got on the score sheet and once again they didn’t look too threatening upfront. The Toffees have scored 13 goals this season and there are just three clubs who have scored fewer in the league.
Everton are a solid team so they will scrape results this season but they sorely lack someone in attack to take the pressure off with a couple of goals. Louis Saha is the favourite among the team to the get the first goal in the game on Saturday at 13/2 but so far he has only scored one goal in eight matches.
Bolton haven’t had much trouble finding goals this season and their tally of 19 is only bettered by those teams in the top-six. Ivan Klasnic is the top-scorer with six in 10 games this season and he has three in his last two games for Bolton. He can be the first goalscorer at 6/1 with Unibet.com or 2/1 to score at anytime against Everton.
With the recent home form they showed when hammering Stoke 5-0, Bolton will be looking to match that performance and they should get the win over Everton. They won’t win by a similar scoreline but 2-0 to Bolton does look tasty at 15/1 with Unibet.
Tip #1: Back Ivan Klasnic to score first at 6/1 with Unibet
Tip #2: Back Bolton to win 2-0 at 15/1 with Unibet
