USA v Ghana World Cup Last 16 Odds: Donovan is Man to Back in Goalscorer Markets

USA go into this World Cup, last 16 encounter as narrow favourites to defeat an entertaining Ghana team in Rustenburg this weekend. USA are currently 17/10 with Bet365 while Ghana are close up at 15/8, with the draw available at 21/10 with the same Bookmakers.

By now it has probably occurred to US soccer star, Landon Donovan the damage he inflicted on the hearts and minds of firstly, the Algerians, who went out of the tournament due to his late injury time winner. Ghana as already mentioned look a very good side but sadly they are the last surviving team left in the tournament from the African Continent. That said they will know that they can rely on the support of the vast majority of the crowd, which could swing the match their way, but unless they can start finding the net in open play, rather than from the penalty spot, we can see only a difficult match ahead for them.
