Chelsea v Swansea Odds: Back the Blues to win by a couple of goals

Chelsea host Swansea City at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday. After their defeat to Manchester United last weekend, Andres Villas-Boas will be hoping Chelsea can get the win over the Welsh side to keep pace in the title race.

Chelsea could rightly feel disappointed that they didn’t take anything from Old Trafford last Sunday. Vilas-Boas complained after the match that two of United’s goals were offside and if Fernando Torres hadn’t missed a clear chance in the second half the result might have been different.

Chelsea are now five points behind the league leaders but they will be confident of picking up all three points at the weekend when they face Swansea. Brendan Rodgers’ side are coming off the back of their first Premier League win of the season but they face a tough task if they are to get anything from their fixture at Stamford Bridge.

The Swans’ 3-0 win last weekend over West Brom was a good performance but this side aren’t going to go racing up the table just yet. They do play some neat football but that doesn’t mean they will automatically get results. Their goals against the Baggies were their first of the season as they had failed to score in four games. It must have been a worry for the manager and it will be interesting to see how they get on in the next few weeks.

Chelsea haven’t had much trouble scoring goals in the Premier League so far this season and they have netted eight in their last four games, the third highest in the league. Fernando Torres also put in a promising performance at Old Trafford last weekend and got himself a goal while also regularly troubling the United defence. If Chelsea are too really challenge for the title this season they could really do with the Spaniard coming back into form.

In the odds for Saturday, Chelsea will get the win but at their match odds they don’t offer much value at all. Surprisingly, Swansea have kept clean sheets in three of their five games this season so they are decent at the back. They may be able to limit Chelsea to a couple of goals so a 2-0 victory to Anders Villas-Boas side offered at 25/4 with Unibet.com is worth a look.
