Cup Exits

Leicester lost out to Manchester City on penalties in the Carabao Cup in mid-week and they will face the other Manchester club this weekend, with United very much reeling from their stunning 2-1 defeat to Bristol City.

Jose Mourinho has been ungracious in defeat as ever following his side's embarrassing loss at Ashton Gate but he will be confident for this Leicester v Manchester United fixture as the Red Devils have only lost one of eighteen meetings since 1998, winning fourteen and drawing three since.

United are 17/20 favourites (Betfair) for victory on Saturday and they are looking to secure a fourth away win in a row in the top-flight.
Match Odds:

Lukaku To Be In The Goals

The visitors come up against a Leicester side that had won four league games in a row before a shock 3-0 loss at home to Crystal Palace last weekend was followed by their aforementioned cup defeat to Manchester City.

The wind has been taken out of their sails somewhat but they are still an impressive unit going forward and Jamie Vardy has scored in two of his last three appearances against United at the King Power Stadium, with the Foxes striker currently 11/2 to score first.

It is defensively that Leicester remain suspect though as they have managed one clean sheet in their past eight and they must be wary of the threat posed by United, who have scored at least two goals in six of their last eight meetings with Leicester.

United are 10/11 to score over 1.5 goals (Coral) and it bodes well that Leicester's fixtures against the big clubs tend to provide entertainment, with eight of their last nine at home against the so-called 'Big Six' all going over 2.5 goals (19/20).

Romelu Lukaku could be the man to get the scoring underway as he has scored three in his last four league outings, as well as five in his last six against Leicester, and he is 18/5 to be first goalscorer (Unibet).
