West Brom v Norwich Odds: Back The Draw At The Hawthorns
One of the most intriguing Premier League clashes this weekend sees Norwich head to the midlands to take on West Brom at the Hawthorns. Both of these sides have had great seasons's so far and this looks like a tough match to call from a betting point of view. The Baggies will start the favourites at home but they will face a Norwich side who are in scintillating form at the moment under Chris Hughton.
The Baggies started the season in great form under new Manager Steve Clarke but they have just dropped away slightly over the past month or so. Even taking that into account West Brom and their fans will be delighted with their current position as they currently sit seventh in the table which is one place ahead of their rivals on Saturday. West Brom have been in particularly great form at home winning six of their nine games so far this season and taking that into account they are the warm favourites this weekend.
Steve Clarke will be eager for West Brom to register their first win in five this weekend and punters wanting them to do just that can currently get even money with Ladbrokes about that happening. They drew 0-0 with West Ham last weekend which was a decent result but they really need the three against Norwich if they are to avoid sliding down the table still further going into the New Year.
Norwich have been simply sensational over the past couple of months and find themselves at the lofty position of eight in the table going into this match. The Canaries have not lost a game in the Premier League since losing to Chelsea at the start of October and much of the credit must go to Chris Hughton. The former Newcastle Manager has done a stunning job at Carrow Road and few would bet against them causing West Brom a problem or two this weekend.
Hughton does have one worry at the moment though and that is fitness of start striker Grant Holt who picked up a hamstring problem against Wigan last weekend. The next few weeks will be important for The Canaries and they will be eager to have Holt at their disposal over the Festive and New Year period. Punters wanting to back Norwich beat West Brom by any score line can currently get a good looking price of 11/4 with Ladbrokes.
This is a tough one for punters to pick over with the in form side Norwich heading away to play a West brom side with a great record at the Hawthorns this sseason. There is only one place between the teams at the moment in the Premier League table and a draw has to be the safe bet here. Punters can back the 1-1 correct score market at a good looking price of 6/1 with a low scoring game on the cards on Saturday afternoon.
