Napoli v Man City Betting: Draw looks tempting in the match odds

Manchester City head to the intimidating surroundings of the Stadio San Paolo for their Champions League Group A clash with Napoli on Tuesday night. City start as 10/11 favourites in the match betting, although Paddy Power offer industry best prices of 3/1 for the Napoli win and a tempting 5/2 for the draw.

There is all to play for in the match as City currently sit second in Group A, two points ahead of the Italian side. It is Bayern Munich who top the group though as they are three points clear of City at the top of the table and in pole position to qualify for the knockout phases.

Roberto Mancini's men arrive in Italy looking to continue their fine recent form, although they have found life in Europe a little tougher. They are top of the table in the Premier League of course and enter a crucial period in their European campaign.

They could only draw 1-1 with Napoli in their opening Champions League match at the Etihad Stadium and we fancy the draw could be the way to go again, with the correct score of 2-2 available at 12/1 in the betting with Paddy Power.

Goals have certainly been a feature of City's play this season as they have won their last nine matches in all competitions and have scored 33 during that period. Napoli may have kept five clean sheets in their last seven in Serie A, but with City in rampant scoring form and with their last nine matches involving over 2.5 goals, a look at over 2.5 goals in the match at 10/11 could be worth a look.

They comfortably beat Newcastle 3-1 at the weekend, where Mario Balotelli was again on the scoresheet. The Italian striker now has eight goals in his last nine appearances for City and he opened his account for his country last week, with paddy power offering a best price of 6/1 for Balotelli to score first.

Balotelli scored from the penalty spot on Saturday and City's last three matches have involved three penalties, with PaddyPower.com going 2/1 that a penalty is awarded on Tuesday.

The concern for Mancini will be the fact that his side have kept just one clean sheet in their last eight matches and both teams to score is priced 4/6 on. Napoli will no doubt look to hit City on the counter attack and Edinson Cavani will be the main danger.

Cavani has scored seven goals this season, including Napoli's goal in the 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium in September, and he can be backed at 11/2 in the first scorer betting. However, the Italian side will have to do without the services of the suspended Juan Zuniga and injured Marco Donadel this week.

Napoli have only won one of their last seven matches in all competitions but they are unbeaten in their last ten European matches at home and a draw could be the way to go this week. It would be a result that ensures both sides have plenty to play for heading into the final round of group matches in two weeks time.
