Following on from the Manchester derby on Sunday, there is still the matter of a West London derby to be played as Queens Park Rangers host Chelsea in the live afternoon kick-off. QPR have been poor at home this season and are big outsiders to win the match at odds of 17/2 with Bet 365, while Chelsea are firm favourites at 1/3 on, and the draw is priced 4/1.
Eleventh placed QPR begin a tough run of fixtures against Chelsea as they take on three teams who finished in the top five of the Premier League last season. Rangers' form has been up and down so far and it is tough to see them overcoming a rejuvenated Chelsea side.
Neil Warnock's team have yet to win at home and were humbled 6-0 by Fulham recently. They have managed to score only two goals at Loftus Road and one of those was an own goal by Richard Dunne. Heidar Helguson is the only Rangers player to strike in front of the home fans and he looks tempting at odds of 14/1 to score first, with Bet 365 going a third the odds on each-way bets.
Helguson could well lead the line as DJ Campbell is out injured, which is one of several injury problems for Warnock as Danny Gabbidon, Rob Hulse and Kieron Dyer are also out.
QPR's record against Chelsea hardly inspires confidence as they have won just one of the past fourteen QPR v Chelsea meetings.
Chelsea arrive at Loftus Road in fine form after their 5-0 win over Genk in the Champions League and they have quietly manoeuvred themselves into third place in the Premier League table. Few are tipping them for the title this year but Andre Villas-Boas has built a side based on attacking intent.
Three quarters of the Blues' away games have involved over 2.5 goals and over 2.5 is 13/20 on this weekend. Daniel Sturridge has impressed lately as he has scored four goals in his last four league appearances and he can be backed at odds of 9/2 to be first scorer with Bet365.com.
The only concern for Chelsea is the fact that they have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven league matches, which is the first time since 2003. They are 10/11 to put that right with a clean sheet on Sunday and they are 11/10 to win to nil. If they do win at Loftus Road it would be their first back-to-back away wins in the league for over a year.
Villas-Boas is without the suspended Fernando Torres and Ramires is doubt, with Michael Essien still out injured, but his side still look to have too much for Rangers. B365 offer 10/11 that Chelsea win with a handicap of -1 goal and the correct score of 3-1 to Chelsea can be backed at odds of 10/1.
