Anderlecht v AC Milan Odds: Low scoring draw could be on the cards in Belgium
AC Milan travel to Belgium to take on Anderlecht in their latest Champions League encounter and both sides are battling it out for the remaining qualification spot in Group C. Malaga have already booked their place in the last-eight so there is all to play for at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium, with AC Milan currently second in the group with five points and Anderlecht third with four.
Milan can book their place in the last-sixteen if they win on Wednesday and Zenit fail to beat Malaga in the group's other match, with Bet Victor making the Italian side 6/4 favourites in the match odds this week. Anderlecht are 19/10 to win, although the draw could be the way to go at 12/5.
Massimo Allegri's Milan may look worthy favourites on paper but the reality is that their performances have been well below the standard expected. They are down in 12th in Serie A and despite some improved form of late the statistics make them a hard team to back. They may have only lost one of their last six in all competitions but they have drawn three of those, while they have managed to win only one of their last seven away.
The form of Stephan Al Shaarawy has been one bright spot this season as the Italian has scored 11 goals and he is 11/2 to be first goalscorer this week. El Shaarawy scored both of Milan's goals at the weekend as they came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Napoli and it has been a familiar tale for Milan of late.
The Rossoneri have conceded first in four of their last five games and Anderlecht are 21/20 to score the first goal of Wednesday's match. Anderlecht head into the match on a fine run of form after winning each of their last five in all competitions and Dieumerci Mbokani is in great nick after scoring nine goals this season, including three in his last three, with Victor Chandler going a best price 13/2 that he scores first.
The Belgian Pro League leaders have won 10 and lost only one of their 12 matches at home this season, although their record in the Champions League is quite dismal. They have won just two of their last 23 in the competition, including just one of 11 at home, but they can take great heart from their 1-0 win over Zenit in their last home outing.
That result should stand them in good stead this week and they can take something from a potentially low scoring encounter. Four of the five Anderlecht v AC Milan matches have ended with under 2.5 goals and under 2.5 is 4/5 on for this latest fixture, while the correct score of 1-1 at 11/2 could be worth a look.
