Liverpool are firm favourites for their Premier League clash with Norwich at Anfield on Saturday afternoon. The Reds are 3/10 on to win the live late kick-off, while Norwich are a huge 10/1 to cause an upset, with the draw priced 4/1 by Paddy Power.
Kenny Dalglish's team are unbeaten in four matches after their 1-1 draw with Manchester United last weekend. They were unfortunate not to win the match and it is a sign of how far they have come that they left the match disappointed, although the signs are positive in their search for a top four place.
They have now lost just one of their last fourteen matches at Anfield and they look well set to pick up three points this weekend. Liverpool have scored in all of their matches at Anfield and have struck first in three quarters of their games at home, while they are 1/4 on to score first against Norwich.
Luis Suarez is likely to provide most interest in the match after the recent racism controversy, but he stills heads the odds to score first. The Uruguayan striker has scored five goals for the Reds this term and he is hard to back against, with Paddy Power going 3/1 that he scores first on Saturday.
The concern for Liverpool will be the fact that they have kept just two clean sheets in their last eleven league matches and they are yet to keep a clean sheet at Anfield this term. Norwich meanwhile have scored in six of their last seven away matches and both teams to score on Saturday is priced evens.
Ninth-placed Norwich are yet to keep a clean sheet this season though and they have conceded five goals in the last 15 minutes of matches this season - the most in the league. PaddyPower.com offer 10/11 that the last goal of Saturday's match is scored after the 75th minute and that could be worth a look.
Paul Lambert will again have to do without the services of James Vaughan, David Ayala, Elliot Ward and Zak Whitbread this weekend as they look to continue their fine start to life in the top flight.
However, Norwich have conceded five penalties this season and the odds of a penalty being awarded can be backed at 13/8. But there is no guarantee that Liverpool would score any penalty awarded as Luis Suarez and Dirk Kuyt have missed both of Liverpool's spot kicks this year, with Paddy Power offering a tempting 10/1 that Liverpool miss a penalty on Saturday.
Despite Norwich's fine start to the season, it is difficult to look beyond the Liverpool win and the Merseyside club look capable of extending their record of four consecutive league wins against the Canaries. The Liverpool win by a margin of two goals can be backed at 3/1 as they look to stake their claims for a top four finish.
