2017 Champions League Quarter Final Draw: Real Madrid to face Bayern Munich

Barcelona's monumental comeback against Paris Saint-Germain saw them produce one of the finest moments in Champions League history, but while the Spanish giants are still the 11/4 favourites with bet365 to win the competition they will face a tough quarter-final against Juventus, and Friday's draw has served up some mouth-watering clashes.

  • Barcelona face Juventus in repeat of 2015 final
  • Real Madrid v Bayern is the highlight clash
  • Leicester aim to continue European fairytale with win over Atletico

Barca Face Tough Tie Against Juve

Luis Enrique would have felt that his Barcelona side have used their get out of jail free card with their heroic comeback against PSG, but the La Liga heavyweights will face a tough quarter-final against Juventus, who had no such problems in making it into the last-eight, as they defeated FC Porto 3-0 on aggregate.

In a repeat of the 2015 Champions League final, which Barca won 3-1, it will be Barcelona that will be huge favourites to make it into the last four, but Juventus, who are 11/1 shots with Betfred, will be aiming to frustrate the attacking prowess of Barcelona, and with home advantage in the first leg the Italian side will hope that they can head to the Camp Nou with a lead, and their defensive qualities could see them give something for Barca to think about.

Real Madrid v Bayern The Highlight

Reigning champions Real Madrid have been dealt a tough assignment in the last-eight, as they will lock horns with Bayern Munich, who thrashed a woeful Arsenal side 10-2 on aggregate, and this has to be the most exciting of the four ties, and the second and third favourites are sure to serve up a monumental encounter.

Bayern are 100/30 shots with BetVictor to win the Champions League, and with such flare in the final third then they are sure to cause problems amongst a flaky Real defence, but Zinedine Zidane's men also possess huge quality, and the 11/2 on offer with most firms could be terrific value if they can come through this clash, for which Bayern are the 8/11 favourites with Betway to qualify over the two legs.

Dortmund v Monaco & Leicester v Atletico The Other Quarters

Monaco beat Manchester City by the away goals rule, after that pair drew 6-6 after two legs, and the free-scoring French side are 16/1 chances with Betfred to win the Champions League, but they face a stiff task against a Borussia Dortmund side that breezed past Benfica in their second leg 4-0, and the German outfit are 10/1 with bet365 to land thie trophy.

Leicester City's fine tournament continued as the Premier League champions beat Sevilla in dramatic style, and the Foxes, who are 33/1 outsiders with Sky Bet, have been handed the task of beating Atletico Madrid, who are 6/1 with Sky Bet, and will be aiming to make their second Champions League final in a row, but will hope to make it a more positive one, after they lost to Real Madrid on penalties last year.
