Two out-of-form sides will go head-to-head in Friday night's live clash from League One as Notts County take on Bury (Sky Sports 2, 7.45pm). Mid-table Notts County have been enduring a dismal time of it of late as they slide down the table and they will hope to get back to winning ways when they take on relegation-threatened Bury at Meadow Lane.
County go into the match as 5/6 odds on favourites, while Bury are 3/1 to ease their relegation concerns. However, the draw could be the value bet at 5/2 with William Hill as these two sides have tended to specialise in draws this season, with their league matches producing a combined 24 stalemates already.
Chris Kiwomya's County side are currently 11th in the league table following a run that has seen them win just two of their last 14, including none of their last four. They will be concerned by their current run and they were indebted to substitute Yoann Arquin's equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Walsall on Saturday.
Arquin came off the bench to score his eighth goal of the season and could be pushing for a starting place on Friday, with Hills going 11/2 he scores first. However, County have had to rescue points from behind of late as they have conceded first in five of their last six, while they have scored just one goal in the first half of their last nine games. County are a tempting 4/1 to come from behind and win or draw this week and that could be worth a look as they bid to end a desperate run of results that has seen them win just one of their last six at Meadow Lane.
Kevin Blackwell's Bury side are in an even worse position currently as they are 22nd in League One and six points adrift of safety. A drop down to League Two is looking a very real possibility unless they can reverse a run of form that has seen them win just one of their last 16 in all competitions, although nine of those have ended in draws (excluding extra time in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy).
A real feature of Bury's games has been the lack of goals as seven of their last nine have involved less than three goals. Six of Notts County's last eight have gone under three goals as well and it could be worth a look at the 7/10 on offer for under 2.5 goals on Friday, while the draw and under 2.5 goals is available at 3/1 in the 'match x total goals' market.
Bury have found goals hard to come by as they have failed to score in their last two and midfielder Steven Schumacher is their top scorer. Schumacher has grabbed eight goals this term and he is a juicy 12/1 to score first. Schumacher could be a key man on Friday and the fact Bury have drawn three of their last four away games in League One suggests that the draw could be the way to go this Friday.
