Manchester United start as odds on favourites for their Premier League clash with Tottenham on Monday night. The Reds will have to cope with a depleted defence but Paddy Power still fancy them to pick up three points as they go 8/13 on at Old Trafford, while Tottenham are available at industry best priced odds of 5/1.
For those who fancy Spurs to get something from the game it could be worth a look at Paddy Power's money back special as they will refund all losing first goalscorer, last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast single bets if Monday's match finishes as a score draw.
The Man Utd v Tottenham score draw itself looks tempting at 7/2, although Spurs will have to reverse their recent form against the reigning Premier League champions. United have won eight of their last nine home matches against Tottenham and they are unbeaten in 20 matches against the North London side.
United's success in the league last season was based on excellent home form as they won eighteen and drew one of nineteen matches at Old Trafford. Sir Alex Ferguson will be keen for his team to continue that form this year and Wayne Rooney looks like he will be a key man this term.
Rooney opened the scoring against West Brom last weekend and he looked back to his very best. The England striker has scored five goals in seven appearances against Tottenham and he looks great value at 4/1 to be first scorer on Monday, particularly with PaddyPower.com's money back offer.
The concern for United though is in defence as Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand have been ruled out with injury, which means the inexperienced Jonny Evans and Phil Jones are set to be paired at centre back. Even more worryingly, David de Gea has looked far from secure in goal as he made another mistake that led to a goal against West Brom to follow up his uncomfortable debut against Man City in the Community Shield.
The odds of 7/5 for United to keep a clean sheet look particularly hard to back and it could be worth a look at both teams to score at 4/6 instead.
Tottenham were certainly in fine goalscoring form in mid-week as they romped to a 5-0 win over Hearts in the Europa League. Jermain Defoe was amongst the scorers in Scotland and he is 9/1 to score first on Monday.
Redknapp is likely to leave Luka Modric out, which adds to his selection problems as Sandro, Wilson Palacios, Steven Pienaar and Jermaine Jenas are all out injured.
It is tough to see Spurs winning for the first time at Old Trafford since 1989 but don't be surprised if they score and the correct score of 3-1 to United could be a decent punt at odds of 11/1 with PaddyPower.
