Bolton v Liverpool Odds: Back a Reds win to nil at the Reebok

Liverpool travel to the Reebok Stadium as firm favourites for their live Saturday evening clash with Bolton. The Reds are 8/13 odds on to take three Premier League points as they look to keep pace with the top four, while Bolton are 5/1 and the draw is 13/5 with Paddy Power bookmakers.

Bolton are in real trouble ahead of the match and they find themselves in a real battle to avoid relegation. Their home form has been quite dreadful and it is tough to see things getting any better against Liverpool, who have the fifth best away record in the league.

In contrast, Owen Coyle's men have the worst home record in the league as they have won just one of their last twelve on home soil and they have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last thirteen at the Reebok. That poor defensive record has not been helped by the transfer of Gary Cahill to Chelsea in the week and their lack of a goalscorer is equally worrying.

Kevin Davies is 9/1 to score first after scoring just three goals this season and they have managed just six goals in their last nine league matches. They come up against a Liverpool defence that has kept four clean sheets in their last six away matches and the Liverpool clean sheet is available at 6/5, while the Liverpool win to nil could be worth a punt at 13/8 with PaddyPower.com.

Liverpool may be impressive defensively but goals have been hard to come by, particularly with Luis Suarez still out suspended. They have failed to score in three of their last four on the road and have failed to score in half of their away league games. Furthermore, they have scored just ten away goals all season and we fancy a low scoring affair could be on the cards on Saturday. Under 2.5 goals can be backed at 10/11 and that looks decent value with 70% of Liverpool's away matches going  that way.

The lack of goals will be a concern for Kenny Dalglish, although Steven Gerrard has been in fine form since returning from injury as he has scored three in five appearances. Gerrard is an industry best priced 5/1 to be first scorer with Paddy Power and he could be worth a look.

Interestingly, Liverpool have missed three of four penalties in the league this term and Liverpool to miss a penalty can be backed at 12/1 and a penalty missed in the match is available at 17/2.

The Reds will be confident heading into the match though as they have won the last ten Liverpool v Bolton matches in the league, while Bolton have taken only three points from a possible 33 against teams in the top half this term. The correct score of 2-0 to Liverpool looks good value at 13/2, while Liverpool are 17/10 to win with a handicap of -1 goal.
