Everton and Wolves face-off at Goodison Park this Saturday with three vital Premier League points on the line. Both these sides are dangerously close to the relegation zone, with Everton in 17th on ten points and Wolves in 13th with eleven points. The Toffees have been sliding down the table the last few weeks while Wolves stopped their dreadful run of results with a win last time out over Wigan.
For Saturday’s game, Unibet make Everton favourites for the win and have priced them at 11/17, while a Wolves victory is 17/4 and a draw offered at 13/5.
Everton fans will not like to see their team dangling above the drop zone at the moment. David Moyes’ sides have taken just three points from their last 18 available and need to put some results together to pull themselves back up the table.
The Toffees haven’t been poor so far this season but they have just not been able to pick up crucial points. In their last six games they have played four of the top-six and gave a good account of themselves. They must, however, start winning games against the teams around them and they will be hoping to start on Saturday.
Wolves are coming off a massive win where they beat fellow relegation strugglers Wigan 3-1 at Molinuex. It took a lot of pressure off the players and Mick McCarthy as before the game they had only taken one point from seven games.
They may have climbed a few places in the table but it still looks as if Wolves will find it tough to keep themselves out of a relegation battle this season. The team does have fight in them but they conceded too many goals at the back and lack quality in midfield.
Wolves have lost their last three on the road in the league so they will need a big improvement if they are to go to Goodison and take all three points. However, a draw could be on the cards because Everton have won just once at home this season.
Everton have failed to keep a clean sheet at home this season also so Wolves can find the back of the net. Mick McCarthy’s side scored at both Anfield and Eastlands recently so backing both teams to score at 5/6 with Unibet looks like a good wager.
