City go into the match under a bit of a cloud after they crashed out of the Champions League in mid-week as a 3-1 defeat in Monaco ensured they missed out on away goals in a crazy 6-6 aggregate draw.

The defensive deficiencies of City were again on display in Monaco and it is difficult to back them at a touch of odds-on for Sunday (19/20 with Betfred) as they are yet to keep a clean sheet against any of the top-seven teams in the Premier League (won two, drawn two, lost four).

Liverpool are the top scorers in the division with 60 goals and they will fancy their chances of leapfrogging their opponents, with Jurgen Klopp's men just one point behind third-placed City, who do still have a game in hand to play.
Match Odds:

Liverpool v Top-Seven Teams

In contrast to City, Liverpool are unbeaten against fellow top-seven teams this season (won six, drawn four) and we don't see them losing at The Etihad, where they are 9/5 to win with the draw no bet (Bet Victor).

That looks like a very decent bet as the Reds are unbeaten in five meetings with City in all competitions (excluding penalty shoot-outs), winning four in the process.
Draw No Bet Odds:

Goals Galore?

This Man City v Liverpool fixture tends to produce goals as the last ten meetings have witnessed 34 goals in total and both teams have scored in eight of those. Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals combined is 6/4 to pay out for a sixth time in the last seven league games at The Etihad and neither defence inspires confidence, with City keeping just two clean sheets in thirteen home league games this season.

Liverpool have managed only one clean sheet in their previous nine league outings but they are always a threat going forward and Philippe Coutinho will be worth a look to get on the scoresheet again.

Coutinho has scored five goals in six appearances against City and the 24-year-old is 3/1 to score at anytime (Betfred.com) as he bids to add to his tally of seven goals for the season.
