Wigan v Arsenal Odds: Van Persie to Score on Return to Premier League Action

Arsenal travel North this weekend to take on strugglers Wigan in what in all reality is a must win game for both clubs. The Bookmakers make Arsenal odds on favourites to win the match, with Paddy Power offering 8/15 on an Arsenal victory, 5/1 against Wigan and 14/5 for the draw.

With their slim chance of winning the Premier League all but gone after losing away at Spurs last week, the Gunners must now hope for a miracle or two to get them back into contention. Defeat or even a draw here therefore at the DW Stadium has become absolutely unthinkable. It is also an unthinkable outcome for Wigan too, who are not yet clear of the drop zone, although they must feel relatively safe with having a five point cushion over Burnley and Hull, who sit two and three places beneath then respectively.

Arsenal continue to be without several first choice players in their ranks, with Fabregas still out and Arshavin a doubt, it is possible however, that top striker, Robin Van Persie could get a run out.
